February Prayers, Decrees, and Declarations

So wake up, you living gateways!  Lift up your heads, you doorways of eternity!  Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you.
Psalm 24: 7

Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10

Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times.  Pray the blessings of God upon all believers.
Ephesians 6:18

For clarification, the following definitions are available to assist you with this month’s Prayers:

1)  🙏 (Pray) – communing with God for His help, His favor and His provision. (Philippians 4:6)

2)  📖 (Decree) – firm command toward a situation that is in alignment with God’s Word and carries the same effect in the Spirit as a written law in the natural. (Job 22:28)

3)  🗣️ (Declare) – vocal announcement of something that has already been established, decreed, or promised by God.  Declaring allows us to establish things that are already made available in our lives, even if it’s not already present with our natural eyes. (Psalm 2:7)

As always, we encourage you to put on the full armor of God as you intercede on behalf of the Gates of Influence in our County and City.  Remember, the Glory of the Lord is your rear guard according to Isaiah 58:8.  We bless you as you step into God’s purpose in your life and pray He will return to you above and beyond for your obedience and sacrifice to pray.

This month’s prayer target focuses on the
Gate of Family.

In order to diligently and effectively pray for the gate of Family, we will briefly address the roles in mind.
We define family as the people you choose to lay down your life for and carry your cross for everyday. Family may be blood, or it may not. Sometimes those we share genetics with can not be counted as family, and sometimes our calling is to create family members through grafting their lineage into ours. Whatever we do however, in word or deed, we do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17)
“Relationships within the family and household were [are] themselves part of Christian vocation and the first place where responsibility to the Lord should come to expression and be put to the test.” – James D. G. Dunn, New International Greek Testament Commentary: The Epistles to the Colossians and to Philemon
We acknowledge that evil is real. There are forces of chaos and destruction that seek to destroy and attack the human race, bearers of the Most High God’s image. But the good news of our God, this Jesus, is that He has defeated supernatural evil. He is the rescuer of His people. He is the caring Father to His children. Those who bear His name are protected, are blessed, and are victorious. (Deuteronomy 32:9–12) Our homes, workplaces and communities become sacred spaces of blessing and protection when we bring His presence with us everywhere we go. This is the Good News. This is why the name of Jesus makes us shout for joy. This is why we pray for our families to align in unity in the Spirit and image of our Lord so that His holiness may extend outward to the world.
Our prayerful intent is to use the Family gate to restore our family relationships, and through them, our community relationships. Let’s agree together in interceding for all of our gates as we pray over Family.

7 Gates of Influence

Family

🙏 Lord, help us to follow Your most encompassing command, that we love one another. (John 13:34-35) Let us love with a genuine and sincere dedication to each other, seeking what is for the other’s good and outdoing each other in showing honor to one another. (Romans 12:9–11) Help our families to love not just with their words, but by demonstrating their love with authentic actions. (1 John 3:18) Make us people who obey You Father, out of love for You. Help us to joyfully reflect Your image and character to the people around us. Make our actions holy examples of who You are. (1 Peter 1:15–16) Let that holiness flow into our relationships, translating into a love for our families and communities that is fervent and sincere. (1 Peter 1:22)

📖 We decree that Your peace, Jesus, will rule in our hearts. We decree thankfulness for the relationships and people in our life, especially those who are joined to Your body with us. We decree that Your teaching and example will dwell in us richly, overflowing with thanksgiving in words and songs to each other. We decree that our hearts will sing out Your praise. (Colossians 3:15–16)

🗣️We declare that we are Your chosen people, made holy by You and dearly loved. We declare our ability to choose and exercise affection, compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience in our relationships. We declare that our minds, bodies and spirits are able to put up with one another and forgive each other. We declare that as the Lord forgives us, so we are able to do the same for each other. (Colossians 3:12-13)

Family in Government

🙏 Make our governing bodies strong in You, Lord, and equip our leaders with Your strength. (Ephesians 6:10–16) Rescue and protect us citizens, those who trust and delight in You. (Psalm 22:8) Shield us, not just against blood and flesh, but against the rulers and authorities of darkness; against the spiritual forces of wickedness. (Ephesians 6:12-13) You are God above all others. You judge both spirit and flesh rightly. (Psalm 82:1)

📖 We decree that our governing leaders will put on the full armor of God, so that they may be able to stand against the stratagems of evil. (Ephesians 6:10-11) We decree that our leaders will wrap truth around their waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. They will wear shoes of peace making, take up their shields of faith, receive their helmet of salvation and pick up the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. (Ephesians 6:14-17)

🗣️ You are our praise. You have answered our cries of distress. (Psalm 22:25) All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to You. All the families of the nations will worship before you. Kingship belongs to You, and You alone rule over all. (Psalm 22:27–28) Our descendants will serve You. Your wonders will be told to the next generation. They will come and tell of Your saving deeds to a people yet to be born, that in You it is done. (Psalm 22:30–31)

🙏 Let those who take shelter in You, rejoice, and ever sing for joy because You spread protection over them. Bless the righteous; those who love Your name. Surround them like a shield with Your good favor. (Psalm 5:11-12) Bind and rebuke wickedness and evil in Your holy name – the things which are not in You, and can not dwell with You. (Psalm 5:4) Help believers to seek You with all their hearts. Be near to us, and spare us Your anger. Receive us, despite our failings. Be closer to us than even our earthly families. Teach us Your ways, and lead us, protecting us from those who wish us harm. (Psalm 27:8-11)

📖 We decree humility and submission before You. We decree open hearts and outstretched hands to You. We decree that we will not allow our sinfulness to take up residence in our homes and get comfortable in our lives. We decree that we will stand before You, firmly rooted and without fear. Our struggles and miseries will pass and no longer be remembered. We decree that our lives will be lit up with Your light, brighter than the noon sun. We decree confidence because there is hope in You. We will be well protected, we will sleep in safety and no one will make us afraid. (Job 11:13-19)

🗣️You, Yahweh, sit enthroned forever. You will judge us rightly and fairly. We declare that You are a stronghold, a safe place, for suffering and struggling. We declare care and comfort for those who trust in You. We declare that You will not leave them alone to fend for themselves. We will sing Your praises and tell of Your deeds, because You do not forget or ignore our cries of distress. (Psalm 9:7–12)

And we declare, through the understanding given to us by Jesus, we will know what is true and the One who is true. We are in the One who is true, the source of eternal life. (1 John 5:18–20)

Family in Church

🙏 Lord, let Your love abound in our church. Make us disciples who put others before ourselves. Give us knowledge of what is good through our acts of love, and help us to use discernment in making decisions that benefit each other. Help us to know what is valuable and beneficial for our community so we may approve what is superior, without fault or blame. Fill us with the fruit of Your righteousness, which only comes from You, Jesus. Let it be for Your glory and praise. (Philippians 1:9-11)

We will be fed, deeply satisfied, and rejoice in You. We decree that we are blessed by You, God of trustworthiness. Who we were before we accepted You is forgotten; who we were before choosing You is hidden from Your eyes. (Isaiah 65:13-16) We decree with a shout of exultation, that You are creating us to be a source of joy. (Isaiah 65:18) We decree that blessings and healings will be like water poured out on this thirsty land; Your spirit and goodness poured out on those who thirst for Your righteousness. (Isaiah 44:3)

🗣We echo Your promises to our predecessors, Lord. We will not fear, for You have redeemed us. You call us by Your name. We are Yours. You are with us through chaos and struggle; we will not be overwhelmed. We will walk through trials and not be burned. You, Holy One, are our savior. We are precious in Your eyes. We are honored. We are loved by You. (Isaiah 43:1–4)
